FAQS

How is thE training setup?

We are using an intuitive, yet robust learning platform, called Mighty Networks. Upon enrollment, you should have received several invitations to join the spaces for your training program and the courses that are part of it. Everyone will have a training hub with your curriculum and requirements and the teacher training community (which includes all programs and all cohorts).

How can I review my program requirements?

Every program has a training hub. There, you'll find a few different overviews of your requirements, including a training packet and a checklist (designed to print or use with a pdf markup app). You'll also see the forms you'll submit as you finish each required course or activity.

I'm missing a course in my account. How can I add it?

We'll send an email in response to your training application. There, we'll answer any questions you asked in your application and share a list of your training spaces, with links to add them.

I chose the electives option. How can I find out which electives I can choose?

The pages for the electives programs will stay up-to-date as we add new electives. You can see dates and number of elective hours for each option there:
200 hour: https://www.janetstoneyoga.com/school/200-hour-electives
300 hour: https://www.janetstoneyoga.com/school/300-hour-electives

note: if you are in the fully virtual or residential hybrid option, you won't have any electives.

How Should I structure my time for Virtual Courses?

We recommend setting aside one day as your deep dive day. Courses are set up with weekly modules (if you have 40 Days of Practice, that's the only exception, with 10 day modules). On your deep dive day, you can plan to spend 1-2 hours. You'll watch a dharma talk or overview video for the week in that time, and you can review the practices offered. It's a good time to plan how you'll integrate the practices throughout the week.

When you are planning your week of practice, truly consider the context of your life. If you only have 15 minutes, plan for a 15 minute practice. If you can establish a pattern of daily practice (even if some days are 5 minutes of meditation, and a mantra you have queued up, then that's a practice).

I lost my momentum, how can I resume

We're here for you, and we've been there, too. Jump into the next course that's being offered in your curriculum (see https://www.janetstoneyoga.com/ for the calendar of courses) or finish the one that you started and only have a little left. It's okay—returning is what matters.

I have questions. How can I get answers, help, or regroup?

You can email us (see below), join a study hall with Connie, post your question in your training curriculum, or DM us (Connie) in the Mighty Network.

Where can I find upcoming study halls and other live offerings?

Once you have added all of your courses and spaces, your events calendar (https://school.janetstoneyoga.com/events) in the Mighty Network will include any upcoming live events for you.

Who can I email if my question wasn’t answered here?

Email school@janetstoneyoga.com if you have other questions.

FAQS

How is this course set up?
We are using an intuitive, yet robust platform called Mighty Networks that creates space for community connection alongside a robust learning environment.

Will I get access to everything at once?
In order to provide a container for this practice and process, one lesson will be covered each week for 4 weeks. As soon as you sign up, you’ll get access to introductory lectures and practices that will thread through the entire course. Then, on Week 1, a new module will be released.

I live in a different timezone (or country or continent)? Will I be able to participate in the course?
The course is setup so that it works for individuals no matter where they live in the world. New content will be released each week, and you can work through the practices, videos and exercises at your own pace.

Can I rewatch or review content from earlier weeks?
Yes, absolutely. Once content for a week is unlocked, you will have access to that in the future. You can return to the material again and again.

Is there a deadline to complete the course?
While we have set up the course as a 4-week offering, it is perfectly great to take more time to finish. There is no deadline to complete the course.

How much time should I plan to spend on the course each week?
To a degree, this is up to you. Each week includes about two hours of training and practice materials. Basically, expect to spend anywhere from 3 to 9 hours per week on the course, depending on how deeply you want to immerse. Since it’s available to you after the course ends, if you are tighter on time, you can come back to the practices or spread it over additional weeks (this is very common).

How do I request a sliding scale rate or apply for a partial scholarship? Or How do I know if I qualify for these options?

We trust that each individual knows their current and historical financial experience best. Sliding scale rates are readily available to you if the options make it feasible for you to join us. If the sliding scale rates feel like a financial stretch, we invite you to request a partial scholarship. The request form is quick and easy and will direct you to the scholarship payment options.

Who do I email with additional questions?
If your question wasn’t answered here, email us at school@janetstoneyoga.com
