A truly global community
Built over Janet’s many years of teaching and her extensive travel, Stone Yoga School is a global sangha where students meet and cross paths again and again. In between, we remain connected through extensive virtual training offerings.
Decades of practice and teaching
Janet has over 3 decades of practice and more than 2 decades of teaching experience. In addition, more than 200 individuals have graduated across her 200 hour and 300 hour programs.
Guest teachers are also deeply experienced teachers and practitioners in their own fields, who offer from embodied experience and a deep connection to their work.
Her team has experience in curriculum development, teaching, and course delivery.
And all of this experience is combined with creativity, innovation, and attention to offer a potent, experiential approach to practice and sharing.
Interactive learning space
Over the past year, we’ve reimagined and rebuilt the virtual training space from the ground up. We’re using Mighty Networks, which allows us to host a private, dedicated training space just for Janet’s community.
Your training hubs, virtual courses, live practices, and events are all hosted through this single dedicated space. You can connect with the community at any time, across timezones and space for conversation and connection.
From student to teacher and back — again and again
Practice is the foundation... of life, of teaching, of relationships. In-person trainings and retreats include a daily morning practice of meditation, asana, pranayama and mantra. Students are encouraged to create and sustain their own home practice throughout the training program. As a result, Stone Yoga School trainings work for students who want to deepen their practice and for those who aspire to teach.
Take your practice to the next level
Self-study and readings help inform a well-rounded practice that goes well beyond the asana. In this way, learning continues well beyond any individual immersion. Most trainings include both personal reflections and partner or group work intended to help us all see ourselves more clearly.
Learn to share the practice you love
The steadiness of practice and depth of self-inquiry provides a depth of understanding of practice that emanates outward. Whether or not students go onto teach, the practices are shared with each other and in the ripple effect to those all around.
