NOURISH

So, let’s do this. Nourish: Slow Flow and Restorative virtual course. ⁣

I’ll be holding space for you to give yourself the gift of healing, slowing down, creating time for silence, for doing “nothing,” for propping your body up and placing it in positions that release the tension we’ve been carrying as a collective and as individuals. ⁣

In the process of going quiet, we can experience the places we hold tension in our bodies and in our minds. That stillness allows space to inquire about the origin of that strain, and to discover where and how we can unwind it. ⁣

In all honesty, it's easier to stay distracted, to keep busy in the drama as it pulls us from feeling all of our feelings, however, the more we slow down, the more we can heal and regenerate. This is crucial for our immune system, health, vitality, and overall ability to handle all that life sends our way.⁣

With rest, we can begin to unravel, activate the parasympathetic response, and go below the surface of our habitual ways of being. In cultivating rest, we can begin to see and feel what we’ve been avoiding—heartbreak or trauma or discomfort or boredom or fear or lack of interest in our own lives. Then, and only then, can we begin to heal and to become whole again. ⁣
